1in square dc-dc delivers 12W for rolling stock, and forklifts

Called RP12-AR, the modules operate at up to 90% efficiency and up to +88°C ambient at full load – so no derating, and neither forced cooling nor additional heatsinks are required when operating at full load. Minimum operating temperature is -40°C.

Their 36-160Vdc (185Vdc for 1s) allows one device to cover railway systems working at nominal 48V, 72V, 96V or 110Vdc, and non-railway applications involving high-voltage batteries.

They have a built-in class A filter network, accordign tot he firm, and offer single or dual outputs from 3.3V to +/-24V.

Protection includes: over-voltage, short-circuit, over-load and under-voltage lock-out “which makes them ideal for many harsh railway and industrial applications such as powering IoT sensors, battery management systems or electric fork-lift trucks”, claimed Recom.

They are CE marked and come with a 3 year warranty.
