- - Clarostat was acquired by Honeywell Sensing in Control in 2002. Clarostat manufactured panel-mount potentiometers (pots), and custom photoelectric (industrial) and optical switch (commercial) solutions. Clarostat offered resistive elements in its potentiometer lines using conductive plastic, cermet, hot-molded carbon, and wirewound resistive elements.
